YPI WORKS WITH TEACHERS LIKE YOU TO SUPPORT AND PROMOTE TRANSFORMATIVE CHANGE IN SCHOOLS, COMMUNITIES, AND WITHIN EACH OTHER.
YPI Canada is an innovative public foundation that makes grants to social service charities, but we do it 100% through the research, advocacy, and decisions of teenagers. We do this by offering a curriculum-linked, experiential project for grade 9 and 10 to high schools across Canada.
Each year, hundreds of teachers and thousands of students who participate in YPI in their school let us know about the impact the program has in their school community, and their community outside the classroom.
For teachers, not only do they tell us that YPI engages students with significant social issues in their communities, promotes real active citizenship, and provides opportunities for students to explore and develop professional skills, they also share how YPI complements and supports them in bringing curriculum to life, to feel well supported, and more equipped to bring important conversations into the classroom.
