Julie Toskan-Casale Recognized with Honorary Doctorate in Civil Law from Saint Mary's University

On Friday May 15th, Saint Mary's University recognized YPI's founder, Julie Toskan-Casale, with an honorary doctorate in Civil Law. 

Saint Mary's, located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, confers an honorary degree upon an individual who has an established record of distinguished achievement and remarkable service complemented by personal moral integrity, and who has achieved extraordinary and lasting distinction in his or her field. 

"The fact that this recognition comes from Saint Mary's University is especially meaningful to me," says Julie. "It is an institution I respect immensely for its commutment to diversity and community leadersip, both locally and internationally. For this wonderful school to acknowledge the career that I have put so much passion into is a tremendous honour."

Julie attended the Convocation ceremony for undergraduate programs in the faculties of Arts and Science and graduate degrees in the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research in the disciplines of Arts and Science. The ceremony was held at the Scotiabank Centre.
