YPI students work hard to get to know their chosen charities, and we want to help charities get to know YPI too! If you are a charity chosen by YPI students, please check out the YPI Charity Brochure for your country below:

The best way for charities to become involved in YPI is by offering useful information about their services to the YPI students who contact them. The time and assistance charities provide goes a long way toward fostering an awareness of the social issues they're tackling.
Have you been approached by a YPI student group and need some helpful tips for making the most of a student visit? Our experience shows us that the following guidelines will ensure a successful exchange:
-
Be realistic about the issues facing your charity and its clients. It's important that YPI students understand the challenges faced by others in their community and how your services help those in need.
-
Students rely on the information you provide them to complete their projects and the final product must always be the result of their own work. Share as much as you can but don’t be afraid to redirect student efforts when appropriate to ensure the integrity of the YPI process.
-
The interaction between charities and students should be a discussion. Ask YPI students questions you may have about their projects so that you also have a full understanding of the YPI process and its purpose.
-
Students and teachers understand that charitable organizations are places of business with rules and regulations that must be respected. Let students know what the boundaries of communication and research are at your organization. If you need them to maintain confidentiality by avoiding video or audio recordings, let them know ahead of the visit.
-
Many students and charities maintain relationships after the process has concluded. Let students know how they can stay connected to your charity through volunteerism or local initiatives that could benefit from their participation and commitment.
